Monica Lippis divides her time between HR consulting and conflict mediation—bringing a mediator’s hand to the development or evolution of pragmatic HR programs, and a steady hand to the resolution of complex legal matters.
Human Resources Consulting:
As an HR leader and consultant, Monica has developed or evolved human resources programs for early-stage to mid-market companies with commercial interests across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
Her experience spans organizational development, employee relations, compensation and benefits design, department building, recruiting, and employee exits, as well as M&A integrations and company, division, or department wind downs.
Along the way, she has led teams of up to 20 people and mentored nine HR professionals and more than twenty senior leaders, including board chairs, CEOs, and presidents.
Conflict Mediation & Resolution:
As a DRPA-certified, court-appointed ADR panel mediator, Monica has guided the resolution of more than 500 small claims and community conflicts, shepherding resolution with compassion, pragmatism, and the belief that resolution is always possible.
Her experience includes evaluative, facilitative, and transformative medication, as well as evaluations and settlement conferences.
Judges and attorneys routinely recognize Monica for “turning around cases that are going nowhere,” while parties in conflict frequently cite her “caring but straightforward approach to getting their matter resolved,” while her appreciation for the nuances of their case helped parties preserve their dignity in otherwise acrimonious circumstances.
Monica holds a master’s degree in negotiation, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding, and post-graduate certificate in conflict resolution analysis from California State University, Dominguez Hills, as well as a bachelor’s degree in strategic communications, cum laude, and a human resources management certificate from California State University, East Bay.
